Broadband / Leased lines

Broadband

Leased lines

These lines are presented on Fibre optic cable directly from the local exchange and offer a solid data connection into the network. Speeds are purchased in 100Mbps segments on a 1gb bearer up to the full capacity of 1gb. 100Mbps circuits are available, and recent cost reductions would see a connection below 100Mbps would be roughly the same price as the full 100Mbps. Leased lines differ from standard Broadband, FTTC and FTTP as the service is non contended, and you receive the full bandwidth Up and Down 24/7. These connections are the most stable type of connection available but are around 10 times the price of broadband / month.
Peach can supply a quote for new connections, and estimated lead times are around 90 days And are subject to survey, and usually on a 1 – 5 year term.

ADSL

Standard broadband ADSL is slowly being overtaken by VDSL Super-fast broadband. For areas that have no VDSL or Fibre, then ADSL is the only viable fixed line solution. Estimated lead times for new service is 7 – 14 days, 14 – 21 days for simultaneous provide
(New telephone line and broadband at the same time)

VDSL FTTC / FTTP

New FTTC Fibre to the cabinet, as the name implies, most areas, the maximum speed achievable will be around 80Mbps down and 20Mbps up, depending on location and distance from your local cabinet. FTTP Fibre to the premises, distance does not really impair the performance of FTTP, and bundles can be rented from 80/20Mbps up to 1Gbps in some areas.
Lead times on standard FTTC are around 7-14days, Lead times on FTTP are from 14 days, up to 90 days depending on your local infrastructure.
FTTPOD (On Demand) requires a survey, and is then quoted specifically for you.
